Record Expands Hydrogen Claims at Temiskaming

Apr 24, 2025

Record Resources Inc. (TSX-V: REC) has expanded its presence in Ontario’s Lake Temiskaming hydrogen camp by acquiring the Lorrain hydrogen property. This acquisition strategically bridges the company’s previously held Lorrain-Bucke property, creating a contiguous land package in a region known for its natural hydrogen potential. The area is characterized by the Lake Temiskaming Graben structure, a geological feature associated with deep mantle-derived volatiles, including hydrogen. The Lorrain-Bucke claims are underlain by Huronian Group sedimentary and volcanic formations, which unconformably overlie Archean metavolcanic and metasedimentary units. These geological settings are considered favorable for natural hydrogen accumulation. Record Resources’ expansion aligns with its strategic collaboration with Quebec Innovative Materials Corp. (QIMC), a leader in natural hydrogen exploration. QIMC has reported significant hydrogen discoveries in adjacent areas, including measurements exceeding 7,000 ppm. The partnership involves QIMC receiving 6.6 million shares of Record Resources and a 1% Gross Revenue Royalty (GRR) from the sale of hydrogen or other mineral products from the property. This move positions Record Resources to capitalize on the growing interest in natural hydrogen as a clean energy source.
