Solstice Gold Corp. has reported a significant new discovery at the Strathy Gold Project in northeastern Ontario’s Temagami Greenstone Belt. Its spring drill program, consisting of 3,120 meters across 13 holes, unveiled the “Red Cedar Zone,” where hole SGPDH25-09 intersected 8.52 g/t gold over 3.5 m—including a standout 28.7 g/t over 1.0 m—marking gold’s first recorded appearance in that area. The zone lies approximately 1.1 km east of the previously defined Leckie Target and remains open for expansion, hosted within a robust 300 × 500 m IP chargeability anomaly.
Additional results include new gold occurrences along north-south extensions of the Leckie Fault, featuring grades such as 6.33 g/t over 1.5 m and zones rich in sulphides and arsenopyrite over 4.5 m. These faults extend for more than 1 km and remain open at depth. The Red Cedar discovery and Leckie Fault extensions highlight the project’s untapped, multi-target potential. With over 30 IP anomalies yet untested, Solstice plans aggressive follow-up drilling to extend the Red Cedar Zone and test down-dip extensions of the Leckie Gold Zone. Plans also include expanding IP coverage across more of its claim block. This maiden drill campaign confirms a high-grade gold footprint in an underexplored section of the prolific Abitibi Subprovince.
