Volta Metals has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Nipissing First Nation regarding development at its Springer Rare Earth Element (REE) Project, located south of Temagami in Ontario. This agreement sets a collaborative framework for future exploration, training, employment, and business opportunities to ensure equitable project participation.
Under the MOU, Volta and the First Nation will engage in open dialogue and explore joint benefits tied to milestone achievements at Springer. The company will incorporate traditional knowledge, foster local capacity building, and include the community in various phases of project advancement.
Springer has shown promise for rare earth and gallium mineralization. With this MOU in place, Volta positions itself to move forward with exploration and project development backed by stronger community relations and social license.
