Kirkland Lake Discoveries Launches Major Drill Program

Nov 4, 2025

Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp. is kicking off a substantial 25,000-metre diamond drill program across its projects in the Kirkland Lake region of Ontario. The program targets multiple high-priority zones identified through recent drilling, geophysical surveys and soil geochemistry work. Among the focus areas are the Winnie Lake Pluton vicinity and other structurally controlled corridors where magnetic and conductive anomalies coincide with mineralization.

Mapping, modelling and ongoing interpretation of helicopter-borne magnetotelluric data have sharpened the company’s targeting strategy. With permits in place and drill rigs being mobilized, the exploration campaign marks the company’s most ambitious to date and its transition into large-scale district-level testing. CEO Stefan Sklepowicz expressed confidence that the integrated data sets provide a fresh window into the subsurface architecture and represent “some of the most exciting targets in the district.” The campaign will be executed across the company’s KL East and KL West portfolios, and is designed to discover and expand intrusion-related gold and polymetallic systems in a tier-one mining jurisdiction. Shareholder value may be driven by discovery-scale outcomes, bolstered by an elevated early-stage exploration budget and well-defined structural frameworks.
