International Prospect Ventures Ltd. has inked a significant Exploration Agreement with the Matachewan First Nation and Mattagami First Nation, both members of the Wabun Tribal Council, covering property interests in Ontario’s Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The agreement, dated October 15 2025, sets a framework for exploration activities on traditional lands, asserting commitments to consultation, cultural respect, and shared economic benefits.
Under the deal, International Prospect Ventures will issue 50,000 common shares and grant 50,000 incentive stock options to each First Nation, exercisable over five years at a set price. The agreement is effective until a full Impact Benefit Agreement (IBA) is finalised. It structures community participation, training, and employment, as well as future contracting opportunities tied to the company’s properties in northeastern Ontario.
The deal reflects over five years of relationship-building between the company, both First Nations and the Wabun Tribal Council. International Prospect Ventures emphasises its commitment to responsible exploration, local engagement, and inclusive growth as it advances work on the ground in a well-established mining jurisdiction.
