Stardust Uncovers Big Undrilled Target at Kirkland Lake

Stardust Metal Corp. has announced the discovery of a large, never-drilled ultramafic target at its McGarry Project — located adjacent to the historic Kerr‑Addison Mine in the Kirkland Lake gold district.

A newly completed magnetotellurics (MT) survey highlighted a deep-seated anomaly that stretches from roughly 250 metres below surface to well beyond 1,000 metres, in a zone that conventional induced-polarization (IP) methods had not previously resolved. Concurrent IP data confirm resistivity and chargeability contrasts in the upper portion, while the deeper MT signal suggests a folded ultramafic unit — a type of rock known in the region to host significant gold mineralization when mineralizing fluids penetrate it.

The target lies beneath a sedimentary cover and aligns structurally with major district-scale faults, including the Larder Lake–Cadillac Deformation Zone and other key corridor faults.

The company plans to follow up with an Ambient Noise Tomography (ANT) survey to produce high-resolution 3D images and refine drill targets before initiating first-ever drilling of this ultramafic target — potentially opening a new front in one of Canada’s most prolific gold districts.
