Heritage Mining Corporation has increased its land position at the Melba Project in the Kirkland Lake mining district by acquiring adjacent claims, effectively doubling its footprint ahead of pending drill results. The added ground is contiguous with the existing Melba holdings and captures prospective geology along strike from areas that have already returned visible gold and encouraging historic drill intervals.
The expanded land package gives Heritage Mining Corporation greater control over key structures and improves flexibility for follow-up drilling, surface work, and future target generation. Management views the timing as deliberate, securing surrounding ground while recent drill assays are still pending and before additional results draw wider attention to the area.
With the larger footprint, the company is now positioned to evaluate multiple targets within a single, unified property boundary. This allows for more efficient planning of drill pads, access routes, and geophysical coverage as exploration activity continues. The new claims will be folded into the current geological model to help guide the next phase of work.
As drill results are released and interpreted, Heritage Mining Corporation expects the strengthened land position at Melba to support continued exploration momentum in the Kirkland Lake camp, an area with a long history of gold production and discovery.
