Northstar Gold Announces Cam Financing

Feb 26, 2026

Northstar Gold Corp. announced a non-brokered private placement financing to advance permitting, engineering, and initial implementation of surgical mining at its 100-percent-owned Cam Copper Project near Kirkland Lake, Ontario. Proceeds will support the Zone 2 definition drill program, metallurgical testing, technical reporting, permitting, and site preparation required to launch a surgical mining pilot with partner Novamera Inc. The Cam Copper Zone 2 target hosts high-grade volcanogenic massive sulphide mineralization, with an exploration target of 75,000 to 140,000 tonnes grading 9 to 18 percent copper. The surgical mining approach uses precision large-diameter drilling with real-time imaging to selectively extract mineralized material from near surface while limiting disturbance. The financing complements broader project funding that includes consortium support from DIGITAL – Canada’s Global Innovation Cluster for digital technologies and technical partners. Northstar stated the funding positions the project to progress toward a notice-to-proceed decision once permits and financing conditions are met. The Cam Copper Project forms part of the company’s Miller Copper-Gold Property in northeastern Ontario, where Northstar is advancing both high-grade copper and gold mineralization toward potential small-scale production.
