McFarlane Lake Mining Limited reported new diamond drilling results from its 100 percent owned Juby Gold Project located west of Gowganda, Ontario in the southern Abitibi Greenstone Belt. The results come from the company’s ongoing exploration drilling campaign that began at the 826 Zone and has now moved to the Golden Lake Zone on the property.
Drill hole GL-26-71 at the Golden Lake Zone intersected 1.36 grams per tonne gold over 95.4 metres. The interval includes higher-grade sections of 1.96 grams per tonne gold over 55.4 metres and 3.22 grams per tonne gold over 9.9 metres. This hole expands the envelope of mineralization beyond the limits of the most recent mineral resource estimate for the project, with some assays still pending.
Additional drilling is underway about 100 metres southwest of this hole to test the extension of the mineralized zone along strike. The company plans further drilling at Golden Lake along a southeast to northwest corridor, with 13 additional holes planned.
Drilling at the nearby 826 Zone has also expanded the gold mineralization envelope, which now extends roughly 300 metres along strike. McFarlane Lake Mining stated that the results support continued exploration across the broader Juby property.
