Volta Metals Ltd. has reported gallium and rare earth assay results from three holes drilled at its Springer Rare Earth Element deposit near Sturgeon Falls, Ontario. Gallium was present across the full assayed length of all three holes, with 90% of the 863 samples exceeding 30 grams per tonne gallium oxide.
Hole SL26-31 returned 51.8 grams per tonne gallium oxide over 399.0 metres. Its strongest interval returned 236.6 grams per tonne gallium oxide and 6.41% total rare earth oxides over 0.5 metres, including 6,730 grams per tonne neodymium oxide and 2,598 grams per tonne praseodymium oxide. The hole extends gallium mineralization vertically 210 metres past the current open-pit outline.
Hole SL26-32 returned 41.5 grams per tonne gallium oxide over 422.6 metres. At its base, it intersected 1.22% total rare earth oxides and 47.0 grams per tonne gallium oxide over 53.9 metres and ended in mineralization at 426 metres.
Hole SL26-33 returned 39.1 grams per tonne gallium oxide over 399.0 metres and also extended gallium mineralization 210 metres past the current pit outline.
Gallium is not included in the current Springer mineral resource estimate. Subject to positive metallurgical results and receipt of remaining assays, Volta Metals Ltd. is targeting an updated resource estimate incorporating rare earth and gallium content later this year.
