In late 2024, Northstar Gold Corp. conducted a seven-hole, 1,465-meter diamond drilling program at its wholly-owned Miller Copper-Gold Property, located 18 kilometers southeast of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. The drilling, carried out between November 23 and December 12, targeted near-surface copper-gold-silver volcanogenic massive sulphide (VMS) mineralization along a 1,000-meter southeast extension of the historic Cam Copper Mine VMS horizon. Notably, three drill holes—CC-05-24, CC-06-24, and CC-11-24—intersected a stratiform, semi-massive to stringer pyrrhotite-dominated sulphide horizon with anomalous gold and zinc concentrations over a 500-meter conductive strike length. Highlights include an interval in hole CC-06-24 averaging 0.84 g/t gold over 2.08 meters, with a sub-interval of 1.28 g/t gold over 1.10 meters. These findings suggest the presence of a significant gold-bearing sulphide zone, gently plunging northwest, with potential for expansion. Future exploration plans involve surface prospecting, 3D induced polarization surveys, borehole surveys, and MMI soil geochemical sampling in 2025 to further delineate this promising mineralized horizon.
