Fulcrum Metals plc has reported strong new metallurgical results from its Teck-Hughes Gold Tailings Project near Kirkland Lake, Ontario, confirming gold and silver recoveries now exceeding 70 percent using a non-cyanide leaching process. These results improve on earlier testing and support the view that historic tailings at the site hold real economic value.
The work program used proprietary leaching methods to unlock metals from refractory tailings while avoiding traditional cyanide processing. In addition to higher precious-metal recovery, the company is also testing for the possible recovery of other payable metals contained within the tailings material. Surface auger drilling continues to support the presence of recoverable gold within the tailings pile, adding confidence to ongoing modelling work.
Fulcrum Metals plc is advancing toward a compliant mineral resource estimate and further technical studies to assess commercial potential. Management views Teck-Hughes as a project that combines metal recovery with cleanup of historic mine waste. If results continue to trend upward through final testing stages, the project could move toward development as a modern tailings reprocessing operation with both economic and environmental benefits.
