Heritage Mining Ltd. has confirmed high-grade gold mineralization at its Melba Project in Northeastern Ontario, with assay results from drill hole ML3800-004 returning 15.57 grams per tonne gold over 9 metres from 43 metres depth, including 28.98 grams per tonne gold over 4.80 metres.
Within the broader interval, a one-metre sample from 49 to 50 metres returned 122.87 grams per tonne gold. The mineralized area comprises multiple centimetre-to-metre-scale quartz-rich shear zones that locally display breccia textures. The approximately 9-metre intersected zone has an estimated true width of about 6 metres because the shear zones were intersected obliquely.
ML3800-004 also recorded the highest visible gold count reported at Melba to date, with more than 20 occurrences and grains measuring up to 2 millimetres. The coarse gold occurs as disseminated grains within the shear zones.
ML3800-003 and ML3800-004 are testing a proposed high-grade gold zone identified through structural work completed by Brett Davis. Melba is approximately 22 kilometres northeast of Kirkland Lake and 90 kilometres southeast of Timmins.
Heritage Mining Ltd. is currently drilling ML3800-005 and plans Phase 2 drilling targeting down-dip and along-strike extensions of the multi-shear and breccia zone.
