Kirkland Lake Discoveries Corp. has reported assay results from eight additional drill holes at its Mirado Gold Project, located approximately 20 kilometres southeast of Kirkland Lake, Ontario. The results expand mineralization in both the South Zone and North Zone while confirming high-grade gold below the historical resource.
Hole KLM26-019 returned 0.50 grams per tonne gold over 91.0 metres, including 1.13 grams per tonne gold over 23.8 metres and 10.94 grams per tonne gold over 0.8 metres. The hole expands South Zone mineralization approximately 130 metres to the northwest. Hole KLM26-017 intersected 18.99 grams per tonne gold over 6.7 metres, including 125.91 grams per tonne gold over 1.0 metre, confirming high-grade mineralization below the historical resource.
Additional drilling in the South Zone returned 1.33 grams per tonne gold over 5.5 metres and 0.77 grams per tonne gold over 18.0 metres in hole KLM26-015, while hole KLM26-016 intersected 0.35 grams per tonne gold over 28.0 metres, including 3.16 grams per tonne gold over 1.0 metre.
In the North Zone, hole KLM26-013 stepped out 85 metres west of previous drilling and returned 0.98 grams per tonne gold over 35.0 metres, including 12.20 grams per tonne gold over 1.0 metre, followed by 0.61 grams per tonne gold over 23.0 metres. The company also completed its first drill test at the MZ Zone, approximately 500 metres west of Mirado, where drilling intersected intense alteration and sulphide mineralization. Assay results are pending.
