Melkior Hits 445 g/t Au at Carscallen

Apr 29, 2025

Melkior Resources Inc. (TSXV: MKR) has announced a significant high-grade gold discovery at its 100%-owned Carscallen Gold Property, located approximately 25 kilometers west of Timmins, Ontario. The winter drill program, comprising five holes totaling 1,200 meters, focused on expanding the strike and down-plunge of the 1010 gold-mineralized structural zone, situated about 1 km southwest of the Shenkman Zone.

The standout result came from drill hole MKR-24-002, which intersected 77.4 grams per tonne (g/t) gold over 6.9 meters, including an exceptional 445 g/t gold over 1.2 meters. This intercept represents the highest-grade gold interval in the project’s history and indicates a new high-grade gold discovery at depth in the 1010 South Zone. Additional results include 2.58 g/t gold over 0.50 meters in MKR-24-001 and two zones of 2.70 g/t gold over 0.80 meters and 1.26 g/t gold over 1.30 meters in MKR-24-003.

The 1010 gold showings are characterized by multiple, anastomosing, shear-hosted, quartz-sulphide veins, often steeply dipping and enveloped by altered stockwork breccia mineralization. These structures exhibit strong geophysical signatures, including moderate to high magnetics and IP chargeability. Melkior plans to conduct follow-up drilling to test the potential extensions of this high-grade intercept
