Northstar Begins Drilling at Cam Copper Mine

Dec 19, 2025

Northstar Gold Corp. has initiated a diamond drilling program at its Cam Copper Mine Project near Kirkland Lake, Ontario. The program marks an important step in advancing the property’s copper-gold potential, following up on historic intervals and geophysical targets that suggest a substantial subsurface system. Northstar’s work will focus on extending known mineralization, testing strike extensions, and refining geological models to better understand the continuity of copper-rich zones.

The initial phase will consist of multiple holes designed to probe targets identified through earlier exploration, including areas with historical copper and gold values. The program aims to confirm and expand mineralized zones, potentially laying the groundwork for future resource evaluation. With drilling now underway, Northstar expects to gather critical assay data that will inform its next stages of exploration and development strategy.

Northstar emphasizes that the Cam Copper Mine area sits within a fertile mineral district with strong infrastructure and skilled local labour. The company plans to integrate drilling results with geochemical and geophysical datasets to build a more detailed picture of the deposit. Ongoing work is being conducted in consultation with regional stakeholders to ensure responsible field operations and land stewardship. Updates will be provided as assay results become available.
