Each month, the President will pose a question based on real conversations, field experience, and decisions that influence how we all work.

How are Ontario prospectors feeling about the map‑staking system overall—looking back to when it was introduced in 2018 and considering how it has shaped day‑to‑day exploration work across the province? In particular, we’d like to hear your thoughts on the alleged growing use of algorithm‑driven “bot” staking, how it has affected fairness, competition, and the ability for individual prospectors to acquire claims in a reasonable way. And, looking ahead, what changes or recommendations would you like to see the Ontario government consider to help address these challenges and restore a level playing field for everyone involved in staking?
