STLLR Gold Inc. has reported final assay results from its drilling program at the Jonpol Deposit on the Garrison Property of the Tower Gold Project in Ontario’s Timmins Mining Camp. Results include high-grade intersections of 12.46 grams per tonne gold over 16.17 metres and 18.62 grams per tonne gold over 5.30 metres.
The Jonpol Deposit sits at the eastern end of the Tower Gold Project along the Munro Fault, a splay from the regional Destor-Porcupine Fault Zone. Gold mineralization is hosted in structurally controlled alteration zones within mafic to ultramafic rocks and is closely associated with felsic intrusive rocks.
STLLR Gold Inc. said the first-half drilling returned high-grade gold intersections and supported potential expansion of known mineralization while increasing confidence in the deposit’s block model.
The company now plans approximately 15,000 metres of additional drilling at the Tower Gold Project during the remainder of its program. Drilling will target the Jonpol, 903 and Garrcon deposits at the Garrison Property.
The upcoming program will focus on converting estimated inferred mineral resources into higher-confidence categories and expanding higher-grade gold mineralization for potential inclusion in an updated Tower Mineral Resource Estimate. The company plans to continue drilling Jonpol alongside the 903 and Garrcon deposits.
