As we discussed last week, between 2013 and 2024, China deployed over $1 trillion into developing countries worldwide via its Belt and Road Initiative, supplying them with key infrastructure so they can participate in the global economy.
Why did China do this?
In some cases, they wanted to grow new customer bases. In others, they wanted geopolitical support in the event of a future China / USA conflict.
